Open Access and Publication Fees

The Journal of Science and Technology (JST) is an Open Access journal. To support the costs of peer review, editing, production, online hosting, and long-term archiving, JST applies the following Article Processing Charges (APC):

Article Processing Charge (APC)

• 80 USD per accepted article (2,200,000 VND)
• The APC covers articles with a standard length of up to 8 formatted pages.
• For articles exceeding this limit, an additional charge of 15 USD (400,000 VND) per page will be applied from page 9 onward, up to a maximum length of 12 pages.
• Authors will receive an invoice (if requested) after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Special APC Support Policy for International Papers (Applicable from June 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028)

To support international collaboration and implement the JST Development Project toward international indexing, approved by the journal’s governing institution, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), JST applies the following special APC support policy during this period:

• 100% APC waiver for papers in which the First Author or/and Corresponding Author is affiliated with an overseas university or research institute.
• 50% APC discount for papers in which the First Author or/and Corresponding Author is affiliated with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and the paper includes at least one co-author who is an international researcher affiliated with an overseas university or research institute.

This support is funded by HUST under the approved JST development project to promote high-quality international collaboration and strengthen JST’s path toward international indexing.

• Plagiarism checking (iThenticate): 150,000 VND or 5.5 USD per manuscript.
• This service is optional and does not guarantee acceptance of the manuscript for publication.
